Jérôme Leprince defended his PhD thesis in 2001 on the structure-activity relationships of the neuropeptide ODN and obtained his HDR in 2009. He joined INSERM in 1999 as a full-time engineer and became researcher in 2002. He is now Deputy- director of the laboratory of Neuroendocrine, Endocrine and Germinal Differentiation and Communication, INSERM U1239 NorDiC in Rouen. He is also heading the Peptide Synthesis and Functional Screening facilities of PRIMACEN Cellular Imaging Platform, INSERM US51 HeRacLeS.
Jérôme Leprince received a “Vocation Prize in Therapeutic Chemistry” in 1999 from the French Society of Therapeutic Chemistry for his contribution to the pharmacochemistry of the endozepinergic system. His current research focuses on the design and the development of peptide- based G protein-coupled receptor ligands for pharmacological, therapeutic and/or diagnostic interests in energy homeostasis.
